At Altvest Capital Solutions, we create access for ordinary investors and institutions to participate in the growth of our business and the companies we support. Unlike traditional funds or collective investment schemes, we do not pool investor money into a managed portfolio. Instead, we issue listed securities — such as ordinary shares and participating preference shares — that represent ownership in our company.

Not a Fund

It is important to be clear:

  • Altvest is not a fund, unit trust, or collective investment scheme.
  • When you invest, you are purchasing shares in a publicly listed operating company, not units in a pooled investment vehicle.
  • This means your investment reflects direct exposure to Altvest’s operating activities — including SME financing, corporate advisory, and treasury management — rather than a managed fund structure.

Participating Preference Ordinary Shares

In addition to ordinary shares, Altvest raises capital to fund its operations or acquisitions through the issuing of participating preference shares from time to time. These instruments:

  • Provide investors with defined participation in specific opportunities or return profiles.
  • Are listed securities, traded on regulated exchanges alongside our ordinary shares.
  • Do not entitle investors to redeem their capital directly from the company.

Exiting Your Investment

Altvest securities are not redeemable at the discretion of the investor.

  • If you wish to exit your position, you must sell your shares in the secondary market (on the stock exchange where they are listed).
  • The ability to sell depends on market liquidity and the presence of a willing buyer for your shares.
  • Just like with any other listed company, your investment value can go up or down, and liquidity may vary over time.

Why This Matters

This structure protects investors and ensures that Altvest remains a regulated operating company, not a collective investment scheme or fund. By investing in Altvest securities, you are participating in the growth of a listed company that:

  • Provides real-world financial services and SME funding,
  • Maintains a Bitcoin corporate treasury strategy to strengthen its balance sheet, and
  • Operates under the same rules, disclosures, and governance standards as other exchange-listed companies.

Africa’s first publicly listed Bitcoin Treasury Strategy company.
